This is a testament to Preferred’s commitment to the company’s mission and values, which are detailed further below.
Some of Our Distinctions Include:
- Preferred is Joint Commission Certified, meaning that we adhere to a higher standard of service and diligence to remain within strict compliance of the Joint Commission’s regulations.
- Preferred has a GSA Schedule, meaning that we have met the exacting criteria needed to provide our staffing services to the federal government.
- Preferred is a Women-Owned Business, which means it is primarily owned and led by women on a day-to-day basis.
The History of Preferred
In 1994, our founder Melanie Reiten started Preferred as a per diem registry, primarily for rehab therapy in California. Over the years, Preferred has continued per diem staffing, however, the agency expanded into longer-term travel contracts and even some permanent placement. The company also branched out into other states and allied health niches. Today Preferred Healthcare staffs all allied health categories nationwide. One thing that has never changed is Preferred’s unwavering dedication to our clients and employees, both internal and in the field.
Preferred’s Mission
Preferred Healthcare’s mission is to provide unparalleled personalized service to allied health professionals and client facilities, so they can focus on delivering exceptional patient care.
Preferred’s Values
Our company values are the guiding principles for all decisions and actions. These values, which share the same P-H-S acronym, infuse our organization and its people.
Passion
People at Preferred are passionate about what they do, and they bring that passion to every aspect of the placement process. Since they specialize in allied health, they know exactly what kinds of questions to ask and exactly what kinds of jobs a candidate with specific interests will get excited about.
Honesty
When working with a Preferred recruiter, you can expect honesty—there’s a straight answer to every question, in the words of Preferred’s founder Melanie Reiten.
Service
And service, of course, is at the core. From vetting talent to ensuring that each clinician feels 100% supported in their position from the beginning, Preferred Healthcare goes above and beyond to make sure that clients and employees can focus on offering the best patient care.
