We have the privilege of introducing Cristina I., an altruistic Speech-Language Pathology Assistant who helps students with communication impairments at a school in Southern California. Cristina’s account manager, Ashley Banks, nominated her due to great feedback from clients, as well as her outstanding performance as a Preferred employee. Why Cristina Is a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant
“I decided to become an SLPA after spending many years helping my special needs, nonverbal son find ways to communicate his wants and needs. He was the one to put me on this path. Working with him and watching him make a lot of progress thanks to speech therapy made me eager to learn more about this field, so that I could develop specific skills in order to continue to help not only him throughout his life, but also other people with speech and language disorders.”
What She Loves About Being an SLPA
“I love working with children, and it gives me a lot of joy to see the tremendous positive impact speech therapy has on them. Being able to provide them with the tools to overcome their challenges and see their progress is highly rewarding. I am very happy to be of service to my students, and I strongly believe that no matter how severe a speech/language impairment may be, there is always a way to teach an individual how to communicate.”
