July’s Field Staff Recognition Recipient
Each month, Preferred recognizes a clinician whose professionalism, compassion, and dedication make a lasting impact. This month, we’re proud to honor Michael H., a physical therapist serving patients at an acute care facility in Ventura, California.
Michael was nominated by his recruiter, Leticia Sellers, who shared:

What Drives Michael as a Physical Therapist
When asked what he enjoys most about being a physical therapist, Michael reflected on the moments that remind him why he chose this profession:
“One of the most gratifying parts of my career is the ability to be a part of someone else’s experience. Oftentimes patients come in discouraged, frustrated, worried, and even hopeless. When patients become clear with themselves and fully take advantage of what I have to offer, a shift occurs. They realize that they can overcome their hardship, their pain, their surgery, their diagnosis, etc. I’ve seen patients with spinal cord injuries walk, the elderly face death with grace, professional athletes return to sport, babies starting to walk and crawl, and the list goes on and on. It’s remarkable what individuals can do when given the opportunity, guidance, and space to grow. This is definitely one of the perks of the job and keeps me invested in the work I do and grateful for it.”
