Radiologic Technologist Job Description

A Radiographer’s primary duties include the use of radiation imaging equipment (such as X-ray machines) to produce images to aid in medical diagnoses. Rad Techs are also required to follow careful instruction from doctors, properly operate necessary equipment, give instruction to and position patients, and keep careful documentation.

Radiologic Technologist Salary Information

With numerous additional certifications and specializations available, the salary range for a Radiographer career is quite broad. The average salary is $59,697, with the lower 10 percent earning around $49,459 and the upper 10 percent earning $71,440. There are many factors, however, that can greatly expand a Rad Tech’s earning range.
