Why Neil Loves Being a Radiologic Technologist
“I am in the field of Radiologic Technology because I enjoy assisting providers, nurses, and fellow healthcare workers in revitalizing patients in need. As far as the big picture, witnessing patients when they’re provided care and restored from accidents or illnesses is rewarding, but I believe the little things matter more. I love seeing the relief from physicians knowing their tools & hardware are in the right place, or when nurses can utilize placed lines verified via radiography to provide fluids, food, and medication. I also find it lovely when I can get some of the kids to smile by telling them they have super powers like Superman by merely showing them their radiographs where they can see their bones. Witnessing these small events while performing my job which leads to the bigger picture in providing healthcare makes me love my job and is what pushes me to work hard.”
