Preferred is proud to introduce Heather G., an earnest Physical Therapist who works in an acute setting at our client facility in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. Heather’s recruiter, Ashley Banks, nominated her because she is an incredibly reliable clinician who has been asked to extend multiple assignments over the years. Heather is very knowledgeable and the client feedback we have received based on her performance is outstanding. She is always positive and a pleasure to work with. How Heather Became a Physical Therapist
“It wasn’t a hard decision for me to go into the medical field. I grew up with an RN mother and a PT aunt. My aunt worked with pediatric patients out of a small space in the basement of her home, where I got to be around the equipment and sometimes the patients. Then and there is where I started to develop my love of therapy. At the age of 17, I started working as a rehab aide with geriatric patients and found the greatest pleasure and satisfaction. I had no doubt physical therapy was the right path for my career. I have now been a practicing PT for 26 years and continue to find great pleasure and satisfaction through my ongoing work and interaction with patients. I have especially enjoyed my current assignment through PHS, working in acute care, SNF, and wound care, extending for a third time. My recruiter, Ashley Banks has been a fantastic resource and asset of PHS. I have grown to love the opportunities afforded with being a travel PT and look forward to many more contracts under PHS.”
