For quite some time now healthcare facilities have been increasing their credentialing requirement for their employees. As we enter into 2011 it looks as though Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF’s) are following suit. In order to continue to offer you the best jobs, Preferred Healthcare Registry wants to make sure there are no surprises for you as these jobs come available. As of January 2nd, 2011 Hallmark managed rehab departments at skilled nursing facilities will be one of the companies that will enforce increased credentialing requirements.
As a reminder, here are those items that you need in order to be considered by Hallmark managed rehab departments:
- Signed Job Application
- Criminal Background Check
- Drug Screen
- Signed Job Description
- 2 Clinical References – 1 must be Supervisory
- Resume
- Annual Competency Exam – 90% passing score required
- Elder Abuse Training — part of Preferred’s IIPP
- Ethics Training — part of Preferred’s Employee Handbook
- HIPAA Training
- Current License
- NPI number
- Annual Health Statement
- TB or chest x-ray *see below
- Hep B immunization (proof or titer) or Declination
We definitely don’t want to see any of our therapists miss out on opportunities that might present themselves at these facilities, so here is a list of the new credentialing requirements:
- NEW Requirement – Mumps immunization (proof or titer)
- NEW Requirement – Rubella immunization (proof or titer)
- NEW Requirement – Rubeola immunization (proof or titer)
- NEW Requirement – Varicella immunization (proof or titer)
- NEW Requirement – American Heart Association – BLS CPR card for the Healthcare Provider
