Which Facilities and Settings Does PHS Staff?
Preferred will staff wherever healthcare utilization is required. Facilities include, but are not limited to: Skilled Nursing, Acute Care, Rehab, Outpatient, Neuro, Home Health, Adult Day, Assisted Living, Psychiatric, Pediatric, Correction facilities, Development Centers, Imaging Centers, Cancer Centers, Surgical Centers, Government facilities including Veteran Hospitals and more.
Does Preferred Healthcare Offer Assignments Nationwide?
Preferred partners with healthcare facilities throughout the United States for travel and permanent positions. We also have a strong per diem presence in California.
Can I Choose the Location of My Assignment?
Your recruiter will discuss your preferred location(s) and type of facilities you are interested in. We build the client/clinician relationship by pairing the right facility with your relevant and professional experience. After review, we will present the assignments we have that match your preferences.
Does Preferred Healthcare Offer Benefits?

How Does PHS Prepare Me for My Assignment?
Upon acceptance of your assignment, your Recruiter will confirm your start date, rate of pay, and any information that may be unique to your new job. An email will follow with the facility location, parking information, and on-site contact. We will prepare everything you need for a successful start.
When Do I Get Paid by Preferred?
Payroll runs on a weekly basis; you will get paid every Friday for the previous week’s hours worked.
Timecards are due on Tuesdays, payroll runs on Wednesday, and funds are available on Friday.
Does Preferred Healthcare Offer Referral Bonuses?
